How to Make an Easy Origami Cicada

Step 1

Start with the white side of the paper facing up and fold it in half diagonally, crease it well.

Step 2

Take the right point, fold it to the other side diagonally, crease it well then unfold it.

Step 3

Take the right point, and fold it up at an angle slightly away from the top point.

Repeat the other side as well.

Step 4

Fold the right top point down along the dotted line.

Repeat this for the left top point.

Step 5

Take the top point of the top layer, and fold it down diagonally.

Step 6

Take the top point of the bottom layer, and fold it down, making sure the fold is less than the one in the previous step.

Step 7

Flip it over.

Step 8

Fold the left and right edges to the center crease.

Step 9

Flip the paper over again.

Step 10

You can draw eyes for it like I did, a lovely cicada is done, this is so realistic.
