How to Fold an Origami Christmas Tree-3D Version

Step 1

Take out the yellow paper, we are going to create the leaf part. Place it with the yellow side up to begin folding, fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease then unfold it.

Step 2

Fold it in half vertically, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 3

Flip the paper over from left to right.

Step 4

Fold the bottom right edge to align with the top left edge, and unfold it.

Step 5

Fold the bottom left edge to align with the top right edge, and unfold it.

Step 6

Mountain fold the left and right creases and bring up the left, right, and top points to meet the bottom point. Flatten the fold to create a small square.

Step 7

Fold the top left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease, and unfold them.

Step 8

Bring up the top layer on the left side, open it, and squash it. Then, fold the right layer to the left side along the vertical crease.

Step 9

Bring up the top layer on the right side, open it, and squash it.

Step 10

Flip the paper over from left to right, then repeat steps 7 to 9.

Step 11

Cut the paper along the dotted line, the top yellow triangle is only required.

Step 12

Take out another piece of paper for the trunk part and fold it in the same manner.

Step 13

Cut four small slits horizontally on each of the left and right sides as shown.

Step 14

Shape it as the picture shows.

Step 15

Flip the paper over from left to right and repeat the previous step.

Peel apart the four layers on the left and right sides, and shape it to look as shown in picture 2, and you will have completed the leaf part.

Cut the paper used to make the trunk along the dotted line.

Rotate it 90 degrees from front to back, and separate the layers on each side.

Plug the top corner of the trunk into the hole at the bottom of the leaf part to assemble them, then you will get a complete Christmas tree.
