Easy Sticky Note Origami Butterfly

Step 1

Place the paper with the desired display side facing up to begin folding. Fold it in half horizontally, leaving a crease, and unfold it.

Step 2

Fold it in half vertically, and unfold it.

Step 3

Flip the paper over from left to right.

Step 4

Fold the paper in half diagonally, and unfold it.

Step 5

Fold the paper in half diagonally from the other side, and unfold it.

Step 6

Push the midpoint of the left, right, and top edges to meet the bottom edge’s midpoint and flatten the fold to create a triangle.

Step 7

Fold the top layer’s left and right corners to meet the top corner.

Step 8

Rotate the paper 180 degrees from front to back.

Step 9

Fold the bottom corner of the top layer along the horizontal dotted line and slightly over the top edge.

Step 10

Turn over the paper from left to right.

Step 11

Fold down the small triangle on the top side.

Step 12

Fold the paper in half vertically, and unfold it.
