Start with the white side of the paper facing up, fold it in half vertically, crease it well then unfold.

Step 2

Fold the left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease.

Step 3

Fold the four corners diagonally to meet the middle vertical crease.

Step 4

Fold the left and right edges to align with the middle vertical crease, crease well then unfold them.

Step 5

Lift the top right and bottom right triangle layers, then fold the right edge to the middle crease again, next, shape a small corner on each end. Finally, flatten them along the existing creases.

Repeat this process for the top left and bottom left sides to achieve the final shape shown in the fourth picture.

Step 6

Fold the bottom corner up horizontally to meet the bottom edge of the top part, crease well then unfold.

Step 7

Fold the bottom corner up again to meet the crease you made in the previous step, then unfold it.

Step 8

Lift up the two small rectangular layers that were raised by the folding in the previous step.

Step 9

Then push the left and right sides down to form two small triangles.

Step 10

Focus on the bottom part, and fold the two small squares in the middle in half diagonally, creating two triangles.

Step 11

Fold the two bottom corners of the two triangles up horizontally to meet their top edge.

Step 12

Then fold the two flaps you made in the previous step up, getting a heart shape.

Step 13

Fold this heart up along its top edge, crease well then unfold.

Step 14

Repeat steps 6 to 13 for the top part.

Step 15

Lift the two layers from the center to make them stand, along the four dotted lines. These dotted lines are the diagonal lines of the four squares on the four sides as you can see. If you can’t handle them, then try to fold them out in advance.

Step 16

Now view it from the top, and fold the heart backward along the first crease shown by the dotted line, to turn it over. Now the heart is paralleled to the box.

Step 17

Fold the heart part down along the crease shown by the dotted line.

Step 18

Repeat steps 16 to 17 for the heart on another side.

Step 19

Gently pull the two hearts out, getting the final shape of the heart box.
