Place the white side of the paper face up and fold in half.

Step 2

Unfold to get a crease in the center.

Step 3

Fold from left to right in half.

Unfold it to get a horizontal crease.

Fold the bottom edge to meet the crease in center.

Flip the paper over.

Step 7

Fold both left and right bottom points diagonally to the vertical center crease.

Flip the paper over.

Fold the top points diagonally to meet the center point.

Slightly lift the two white triangles up, fold the top flap downwards, the red part only, without folding the white triangles on the sides. Bring the top point to meet the bottom one.

Fold the white triangles inwards along bottom edges.

Step 12

Fold the top corners diagonally to the corners of the white triangles.

Step 13

Here, we have two red squares. Fold diagonally to form small triangles symmetry to those ones formed in the previous step.

Step 14

Fold the top point down around 1/3, making the heart more round and cute.

Finished

Wow, this origami heart is finished. It should be 7.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm high. There will be a small gap along the two layers and consequently you can use it as a bookmark.
